Postdoctoral fellowship: Disinformation and Investigative Journalism

A postdoctoral fellowship is available in the Department of Journalism, 
Stellenbosch University, South Africa, from January 2023.


The postdoctoral fellow will conduct research on aspects related to 
disinformation, its impact on journalism and trust in the media, and 
explore ways in which investigative journalism may counter 
disinformation in African contexts. The aim of the fellowship is to 
contribute to knowledge production in the area of disinformation in 
Africa through publication and research activities.
