*Conference Description*
Building on the success of last year’s ‘100 Years of Chinese Film & Screen’ conference, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China will be hosting the conference ‘Chinese Film Aesthetics’, Friday May 6 and Saturday May 7, 2022. This conference will bring together scholars and practitioners to examine the aesthetics of Chinese film and moving image media, and discuss their reception, effects, and impact in China and around the world.

The conference will be a hybrid conference, with both in-person and online presentations. Due to current COVID-19 travel restrictions, we strongly anticipate that people from outside China will not be able to attend in-person.

*Submission guidelines*
We invite English-language submissions on any aspect of Chinese film aesthetics, including (but not limited to) artistic, auteurial, genre, historical, industrial, and commercial approaches.

Proposals for 15 minute presentations should be submitted using the following form by midnight, Thursday, March 31st - https://forms.office.com/r/nPDLGwnbnW <https://forms.office.com/r/nPDLGwnbnW>
