The special issue /Genres in Question/, edited by Luiza Lusvarghi (University of Campinas, Brazil) and Luiz Felipe Baute (University of Campinas, Brazil), has been published in /Zanzalá: Brazilian Journal of Studies on Film and Audio-Visual Genres/: https://periodicos.ufjf.br/index.php/zanzala/issue/view/generosemquestao <https://periodicos.ufjf.br/index.php/zanzala/issue/view/generosemquestao>.

/Zanzalá/ (ISSN 2236-8191) is the first Brazilian academic journal dedicated to genre studies in their multiple platforms or manifestations: prose, poetry, film, television, theatre, music, computer games, etc. It’s a publication linked to GENECINE: Research Group for Film and Audio-Visual Genres, based at the University of Campinas’ Department of Film. /Zanzalá/ is published annually and remains a scientific patrimony of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, cradle of the original project and host institution of the necessary infrastructure for its publication. Manuscripts in the categories Dossier, Guest Authors, Articles, Short Papers, Review, Interview, and Video-Essay are accepted in five languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, and Italian. The journal’s title is a tribute to a fundamental novel in the history of Brazil’s science fiction literature: /Zanzalá e O Reino do Céu/ (1949), written by Afonso Schmidt.

/Zanzalá/ 7.1 contains the following articles:
