Mobile Studies Congress 2022
Go Mobile, Stay Innovative
9-11 December 2022
(Virtual, Hybrid, and In-Person)
University of Nottingham Ningbo China
Mobile media, mobility, mobile creative arts and mobile communication have significantly shaped the way we live, the way we work, and the way we stay innovative. Inspired by their impact, the third edition of the Mobile Studies Congress will reflect on the innovative approaches to mobile studies in different areas, including mobile government, mobile journalism, mobile learning, mobile healthcare, mobile health communication, mobile advertising, mobile marketing, and mobile experience. Furthermore, it will exchange innovation experience and expertise in screen storytelling, community engagement and novel production formats such as smartphone filmmaking, vertical video, mobile social networks, mobile live streaming, micro movies, and mobile XR. As much of our world has gone mobile, it is vital to examine the changes, challenges, and chances that define mobile media, mobility, mobile creativity and mobile communication in 2022 and the near future. Developments towards industry 4.0 (including analytics, algorithms and automation) and ongoing digital transformations continue to disrupt creative industries to produce new business models, production environments and distribution channels. Innovative technologies and mobile creativity allow various communities to create artistic and cultural productions globally and forge new synergies among academic disciplines. At the intersection of emerging media, the potential of technology and new forms of collaboration, Mobile Studies Congress 2022 will provide an inclusive, interdisciplinary, international, and open forum for discussion and development of mobile studies. The 11th International Mobile Innovation Screening & Smartphone Film Festival will be presented as part of the event.
