Our vision is to create a vibrant, internationally visible civic data 
environment creating a common purpose to make health-related data from 
the region's people work for the people. To do this we will be creating 
a Civic Data Co-operative (CDC).  This co-operative will be based on a 
collaborative, open approach to governance the co-operative will support 
people and organisations to improve the lives of Liverpool City Region 
(LCR) residents while driving economic growth in health tech and digital 
across LCR.

Funded by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Strategic 
Investment Fund, the Civic Data Co-operative will work with a wide range 
of partners to deliver on this vision, including the University of 
Liverpool, NHS organisations, Liverpool Health Partners, Local 
Authorities, and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, as well as 
local commercial and international organisations.

The team are now looking for an experienced and well organised 
individual who can establish a programme of research and an 
implementation strategy to ensure that CDC¿s approach to Data 
Stewardship meets the needs of its residents and positively impacts 
regional and national policy for civic data use.

The ideal candidate will:
Understand and have experience of the development and deployment of 
strategies and research questions to ensure meaningful engagement of the 
public is embedded across all programme workstreams
Have experience of contributing to successful funding applications
Have experience of working with senior stakeholders to develop and embed 
public engagement strategies
Experience of working as a member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team 
and collaborating with external experts, other PPIE managers, 
researchers, and academics
Be highly organised and structured with the ability to create solutions 
to complex problems
Believe in the mission and vision of all sectors of the health and 
social care system using data and data science to work together in a new 
way to improve health and care
Understand the need for openness and transparency in the use of data
Be driven by the desire to improve health outcomes by listening to our 
resident's lived experience and work collaboratively with stakeholders 
to improve the service.
Understand the need for a Team Science approach to impactful delivery

You will be a part of the CDC Leadership Team and responsible for 
leading the implementation of the Public Engagement strategy. You will 
undertake research in the area of data stewardship and work with 
external experts and collaborators to inform the design, governance and 
sustainability of the CDC service.

You will also work closely with stakeholders across the University and 
wider care system in Cheshire and Merseyside to develop trust in and 
provide an evidence base for CDC's approach to Data Stewardship, 
ensuring that best practice is shared, and strategic impact is achieved. 
 You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant 
professional experience).  The post is available until 31 March 2025.
