We seek to appoint a full-time Lecturer from 1 September 2021 to teach 
in the area of *consumption, consumer society and advertising* (from a 
media and cultural studies or sociological perspective).

You will join us on an indefinite contract however, the role remains 
contingent on external funding which, at this time is for 12 months

The post is to cover the work of a staff member who has been awarded a 
12-month Leverhulme Fellowship. Duties include teaching a 2nd year UG 
module /Consumer Culture and Advertising /(lectures and seminars) and an 
MA module /Consumer Society/; you will be provided with module 
materials. You will also contribute to UG and MA supervision, and other 
Departmental student experience events and activities, including 
recruitment events. You should have some teaching experience at 
undergraduate level. You should have a PhD in the Social Sciences or 
Humanities or have submitted your PhD thesis by the appointment start 
date. You will enjoy working as part of a team and possess the ability 
to adapt to the demands of working in an intensive and exciting 
interdisciplinary environment.
