Xi’an Jiaotong - Liverpool University invites applications for numerous PhD programmes. <>

The campus of the university is located in Suzhou, China - about an hour west of Shanghai, but the degree is awarded by the University of Liverpool, UK, thus offering exciting opportunities for students wishing to combine research on China-related topics with a PhD from a highly respected university.

Please note: Non-China-related topics are welcome as well.

    theory, Political communication, Science communication
  * Media and Culture: Art history, Cultural and creative industries
    (CCIs), Cultural and media policy, Cultural history, Cultural

    and sexuality in popular and public discourses, Grassroots publics,
    and participatory practices, Medical humanities, Orientalist and

Applications to the PhD programme are assessed and accepted year-round, but applicants wishing to obtain a STIPEND for their studies have to submit their application BEFORE 15 APRIL in the current round ( <>).
