There are two new posts in the Department of Cultural, Visual and Media Studies at the University of Nottingham.

Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Associate in Visual Culture and Communication within the School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies. This role will be based in the Department of Cultural, Media and Visual Studies, one of the largest departments of its kind in the UK.

The primary purpose of the role will be to undertake teaching and provide advice as a member of a teaching team within an established programme of study. The role holder will also help to develop new course proposals and may contribute to curriculum development in the School.

The role holder will have specific responsibility for identifying the learning needs of students and ensure that the content, methods of delivery and learning materials meet the defined learning objectives of the BA International Media and Communication and BA History of Art courses, as well as taking a role in providing personal tutor support and making an appropriate contribution to teaching administration.

Candidates should have a PhD in a field related to Visual Culture and Communication.

This post is available on a 0.5 FTE contract from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2023.
