Since its inception in 1995, Cinéma, cent ans de jeunesse, has steadily grown to become one of the largest and most influential film education initiatives in the world today. Groups of young people across the world between the ages of 6 and 18 take part in annual programmes of film education focused around a different topic chosen every year, in which the parallel activities of watching and making films are not only interlinked, but inseparable. With the recent announcement that the project will no longer be continuing in its current form at La Cinémathèque Française, we are delighted to welcome programme founder Nathalie Bourgeois to share her reflections on the project's successes, challenges, and future prospects.
