[Commlist] Positions at Department of Communication, Popular Culture and Film

The Department of Communication, Popular Culture and Film at Brock University invites applications for two positions at the rank of Assistant Professor (both to begin July 1, 2020).

1) Assistant Professor, Business & Media Communication, Tenure Track

The successful candidate must have a PhD in communication, media studies, business, or a related discipline and a strong record of research and teaching that addresses digital technologies and practices at the intersection of business communication and media industries. Expertise in the areas of digital platforms and media analytics is of particular interest. Experience with online, blended, and applied/experiential pedagogy would be an asset.

2) Assistant Professor, Business Communication, 1yr Limited Term Appointment

Applicants must have a PhD in communication, business, or a related discipline. The successful candidate will be required to teach two half courses (COMM 3Q97: Events Management & COMM 2P65: Organizational Culture) as well as to teach, facilitate workshops, and organize placements for the department’s full-year capstone course, COMM 4F00: Internship in Communication, Popular Culture or Film. Prior experience with applied and/or experiential pedagogy is required. Specific course assignments may vary according to staffing needs and the successful candidate’s areas of strength.
