Call for Editors:/MedieKultur. Journal of media and communication research/

MedieKultur seeks new international Editorial Board Members. The 
editorial Board consists of a well-run team of researchers from 
different universities in Denmark. In order to represent the Danish 
media environment, we aim to assemble an editorial board comprised of 
representatives from diverse institutions. This call invites media 
scholars outside Denmark to join the Editorial Board. Through 
participation in the editorial board, members have the opportunity to 
contribute to and build a broad research network.As an editor, you are a 
part of the ongoing editorial process; this process often includes 
editing articles submitted to the open section of the current issue.

An editor will from time to time function as the issue editor i.e. 
having the main responsibility for a theme section. The regular tasks of 
an editor include:

  * managing the peer review process
  * estimating whether submitted manuscripts are suitable for
    publication in MedieKultur
  * provide feedback and support to the other editors in all matters
    concerning the editorial work
  * planning the contents and future of the journal in cooperation with
    the other editors.

Qualifications:

  * broad academic qualifications in media and communication studies
  * openness towards different methods, theories and approaches

The editorial board works with an online management system and meets 
twice a year. The editorial work is unpaid but travel and catering 
expenses in connection with meetings are covered.

The application (maximum 1 page) should describe your motivation for 
applying, professional qualifications, and special areas of interest.
