*Full-time**academic position in Media and Communication *
İzmir University of Economics (IUE), Department of Media and
Communication is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position
(open-rank) to teach in the following areas: storytelling, design and
aesthetics, media production, and digital media. The ideal candidate
should have professional expertise in more than one of these closely
related areas and a portfolio of work in media production. Completed PhD
in media and communication or related field by the start date is
required. Research experience and a strong publication record in media
and communication studies is a plus.
Faculty members are expected to take on teaching responsibilities at
undergraduate and graduate levels, lead master’s theses and graduate
projects, and work as an academic advisor at the department.
Responsibilities will also include administrative service at both
department and university levels.

İzmir University of Economics is in İzmir, located in the western
(Aegean) part of Turkey. It is the country’s third most populous city
and has the largest port after Istanbul. The city centre has a
population of approximately 4,050,000. Once the ancient city of Smyrna,
it is now a modern, developed and busy commercial centre, set around a
wide bay and surrounded by mountains. Izmir is an attractive
cosmopolitan city with lots of history and interesting places to visit
