Michael S. Daubs (Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand) and
Vincent R. Manzerolle (University of Windsor, Canada) are pleased to
announce the publication of their edited volume /Mobile and Ubiquitous
Media: Critical and International Perspectives/ from Peter Lang.
The goal of this volume is to provide a diverse set of critical,
theoretical, and international approaches useful to those looking for a
more diverse and nuanced understanding of what ubiquitous media means.
A portion of this volume is dedicated to an exploration of mobile
technologies as a key precursor to a ubiquitous media environment. These
contributionson mobile media are contextualised within a larger
discussion on the nature and history of ubiquitous media. Other sections
are dedicated to historical perspectives on ubiquitous media, visual
culture, surveillance, political economy, and communities, spaces, and
places throughout the world.
Contributors include Mark Andrejevic, Kris Belden-Adams, Susan Bryant,
Marco Centorrino, Edward Comor, Julián de la Fuente, Jacqueline H.
Fewkes, Sarah Harney, Abdul Nasir Khan, Pilar Lacasa, Eric Lehman,
