Three new posts at the newly formed School of Media, Communication and Sociology. *

*Media**and Communication and Sociology have now become an exciting new school at the University of Leicester. Each of the former departments have celebrated their 50**^th **anniversary as leaders in their fields and Media boasts a high level of Research and Teaching Excellence, ranked 11 in the UK in the 2016 Complete University Guide. *

In only its second submission to the National Research Excellence Framework the research profile of Media and Communication was judged to be 82% World Leading or Internationally Excellent. It was placed 15th overall for media research in the country, and in the top ten when factoring in the high numbers of research active staff. Media and Communication at Leicester is therefore a dynamic and diverse unit, newly enriched by joining with Sociology, and offering an increasingly exciting place to conduct research and teaching in the UK.

You will undertake research of a world-leading standard, attracting research funding and contributing to teaching and administration. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the School’s reputation, building on existing strengths and raising levels of research activity, research income, teaching excellence and the overall visibility of the School. You will pursue and publish research of high quality in line with the School’s objective of producing world-leading research with meaningful societal impact.
