Set in the heart of a beautiful, safe and friendly city, the University
of Lincoln is a forward-thinking, ambitious and international
institution with high aspirations and a rapidly improving profile.
We are looking for an inspirational new Head of the Lincoln School of
Film & Media. Your academic standing, leadership skills and strategic
vision will be complemented by your strong track record in delivering
projects including recruitment and development of staff, building
research capacity and external links and delivering a superb student
experience through an innovative curriculum. You will have strong
management skills and the ability to nurture a talented and motivated
team to ensure the School continues to fulfil its potential. As a
member of the College Management Team and with the opportunity to be
involved in University-wide initiatives, you will have a collegiate
approach and the ambition to succeed in a supportive atmosphere.
The award-winning Lincoln School of Film & Media recruits a large intake
of students across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
which regularly perform well in league tables of student satisfaction
and employability. It has an excellent reputation in terms of technical
facilities and support, professional practice, industry networks,
international opportunities and community engagement. The School’s
innovative research is largely driven and managed through four areas
that also inform our curriculum at all levels: Extra Sonic Practices;
Media, History and Memory; Collaborative Pedagogy (co LAB) and Entangled
Media. Inter-disciplinary work is further facilitated through our
cross-College centre for Culture and Creativity via which we deliver the
internationally respected Frequency Festival for Digital Cultures.
Working towards Athena SWAN Bronze Award accreditation, the School is
committed to advancing gender equality.
