news and information platform connected to the department of Culture 
Studies of Tilburg University. It is set up as a niche magazine focusing 
on issues related to (digital) culture, globalization and the arts. /

/Media play a crucial role in a democratic society. They are the 
so-called fourth estate. Today, many media operate as commercial 
organizations and profit determines quality. Diggit Magazine chooses to 
operate in a different niche. Diggit Magazine takes its democratic role 
seriously. Free, accessible and qualitative information and reflection 
are fundamental for a healthy democracy./

/Diggit Magazine wants to revive the intellectual commitment of 
academia. It wants to inject academic quality into the public sphere, it 
therefore operates at the intersection of the academic and journalistic 
field. It provides a place for academic quality with a journalistic 
flair and it is powered by students, lecturers, researchers from the 
culture department of Tilburg University (The Netherlands) and hopefully

/Diggit Magazine now invites external authors to submit . You can submit 
articles (max. 2000 words), book reviews, working and academic papers, 
interviews, galleries, and e-books. All content has to be approved by 
the editors. We work under creative commons licenses and the author is 
free to choose the specific conditions of those. We publish in English 
and Dutch/
