[ecrea] Visiting Lecturer - Web Journalism

The Department of Media, Culture and Language at the University of Roehampton are seeking an experienced lecturer and journalist to deliver a module for us this semester on Web Journalism. The module aims to help students understand the possibilities and challenges of online journalism and to gain the ability to write for the Internet in a way that maximises the impact and visibility of their stories. Students use key journalistic skills to complete a range of web-based tasks. The module also requires students to critically examine a range of relevant issues, including the economics of online journalism, the composition and habits of online audiences, the importance of web analytics and SEO, the p possibilities, limitations and cultural and political impact of the social media, and the role of the so-called citizen journalists.
