Tutor in Games Art and Design
Reference: FA0191
Campus: Hull
Faculty/Area: Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
Department: School of Drama, Music and Screen
Salary: £26,537 to £31,656 per annum pro rata | 50% FTE
Fixed Term
Post Type: Part Time
Closing Date: Tuesday 30 August 2016

Making a significant contribution to both teaching and scholarship in the school, you will teach in areas allied to Games Art and Design such as 3D Design, Graphic Design and Games Engine Development across a range of undergraduate programmes. You will also act as a personal tutor for students and contribute to scholarship, outreach, and administration within the Screen team.

You will be an ambitious, creative and proactive games artist from either an academic or professional background. You will be open to ideas, flexible, and have the vision to contribute to an interdisciplinary group of staff in the Screen team. Ideally, you will be experienced in teaching within Higher Education and will possess clarity of vision with regards to your personal career plans, including an understanding of how your plans may complement and extend the activities within the team.

The successful candidate will take on a standard teaching load in the School and contribute in growing engagement with industry and other community outreach partners.
