The Department of Journalism & Electronic Media in the College of Media 
& Communication at Texas Tech University seeks a scholar and teacher in 
broadcast/multimedia and international journalism. We seek a colleague 
who will strengthen the department’s scholarly reputation by maintaining 
an active research agenda and mentoring doctoral students. Candidates 
must have an earned Ph.D. prior to start date.

The successful candidate will conduct research and teach graduate and 
undergraduate courses in at least two of the following areas: broadcast 
journalism, global journalism, audiovisual storytelling, or digital 
journalism. Preferred qualifications include professional experience in 
at least one of the following areas: multimedia writing, reporting, 
video production and post-production, or news division management. We 
value well-rounded candidates committed to effective teaching, scholarly 
research, and academic and professional service.  Preference will be 
given to those with a demonstrated research program capable of 
attracting external funding and publishing in refereed journals.
