[ecrea] CfA New Directions in Media Research conference

We would like to invite PhD students and early career researchers to
submit an abstract and paper for NDiMR 2016 taking place at the
University of Leicester on 3 June 2016. Presentations and papers that
relate to the following themes are particularly encouraged:

• Media and politics

• Research methods in media studies

• Media and Journalism

• Media audiences • Media and culture

• New media and society

• Advertising and public relations

• Media production, consumption and representation

The above categories are intended only to provide a general direction
for what can be discussed. We welcome submissions on any research topic
related to Media and Communication; if you have questions about this,
please contact do contact us.

Guidelines for Abstracts

• Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words in length and in English.

• One author should not submit more than one abstract for the evaluation
unless the second paper is co-authored one.

• Same abstract or another version with minor variations in title or
content must not be submitted to other Sections for consideration.

• As all the abstracts will be printed in the conference program, we
would suggest author to evaluate their own abstracts before submission.

Submission Submission for both abstracts and papers closes on 11th April
2016. Please submit to both Christos Kostopoulos ((ck214 /at/ le.ac.uk)) and
Patricia Routh ((pr129 /at/ le.ac.uk)), the PhD representatives for the
department on or before that date. All abstracts will be reviewed by a
committee of students and faculty from the department of Media and
Communication. Notification of both abstract and paper acceptances will
be communicated by the 1st May 2016. If there are any questions related
