We are happy to accept articles for the peer-reviewed, multi- and
interdisciplinary /Yearbook of Immersive Media/ (/Jahrbuch immersiver
Medien/). The 2016 issue is entitled «Interactive Media: Interfaces –
Networks – Virtual Worlds».

The discussion about the specific immersive strategies of different
technological media and their contents reveals the necessary distinction
between interactive and non-interactive media forms. In the scientific
exploration of the connections between immersive phenomena and
interaction, different positions and approaches emerged, concerning this
matter.

This existing range of theories, models, paradigms and concepts, all
with their different methods, attending to the potentials and effects of
interaction, are intended to be assembled in the /Yearbook of Immersive
Media/ 2016.

Issues of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

-How do technological interfaces support and organize interaction? What
are the effects of immersive interfaces in processing information or
experiencing digital images?

-What strategies of interaction are responsible for our intense use of
social networks? To what extent can social media be called immersive?

-What new forms of interactions will the /Internet of the Future/ and
the /Internet of Things/ allow or request?

-Which interactive strategies enable games or VR environments to involve
the users affectively, cognitively or conatively in virtual spaces or
worlds?

-How much interaction does interactive storytelling need? How does the
experience of traditional interactive stories differ from the experience
of completely player-driven stories?

The submitted long abstracts should be *600 to 900 words* in length,
reviews and other texts should be *1500 to 3000 words* in length. Please
send a meaningful abstract to Prof. Dr. Patrick Rupert-Kruse via:

2016*. The editors will invite full papers from selected submissions by
