*EUscreenXL - Content in Motion: Curating Europe's Audiovisual Heritage*

*Date:* 3 and 4 December 2015

*Location: *National Audiovisual Institute, Warsaw, Poland

*EUscreenXL invites you to Warsaw to discuss the online presence of
Europe's audiovisual collections. The conference takes place at the
National Audiovisual Institute on 3 and 4 December 2015. Registration
for the event is free of charge and places will be filled on a
first-come, first-served basis.*

The EUscreen network functions as an expert hub where archival
organisations from different cultural and professional backgrounds can
experiment with the many possibilities of online publishing. This year’s
conference will discuss the benefits and challenges memory institutions
face when making their online AV collections available. It will also
highlight experiments and projects from various collection holders,
discuss topics such as online engagement and draw into focus the topic
of curating content - from the user perspective and from the perspective
of collection holders.

The aim of the conference is to identify shared goals, enabling
efficient and long-lasting partnerships within the audiovisual sector
and between archives and users. The discussions also serve to improve
the online presence of our audiovisual collections, detail policy making
processes and identify the most efficient dissemination channels and
tools for reaching audiences across Europe.

*About EUscreen:*

EUscreen is a dynamic and expanding network. Its aim is to improve the
online presence of and engagement with audiovisual archival collections
across Europe. It invites broadcast and audiovisual archives from Europe
to work together with academic and technical partners to create public
access to thousands of film clips, television programmes and supporting
information. EUscreenXL aligns audiovisual collections by connecting
them to Europeana’s online collection, which consist of millions of
digitised materials from Europe’s museums, libraries and archives. The
network was established in 2006 and is now made up of 31partners and 13
associate partners from 22 European countries. More: www.euscreen.eu
