The Management, Marketing and Organisation Group (MMO) at Essex Business
School has an international reputation for its cutting edge research
into the study of organisations, the nature of work, sustainability,
critical marketing and consumer behaviour. Essex Business School is in a
period of significant growth and expansion of its teaching and research
activities, and is seeking to make further appointments in the field of
Marketing.

The appointments to these two posts are intended to contribute to, and
extend, the range of teaching offered in Marketing and contribute to the
research profile of MMO. The purpose of these posts is to enhance the
School’s research profile and to both contribute to and lead in
developing the field of marketing; to develop undergraduate and
postgraduate teaching and supervision; and to extend the School’s
profile regionally, nationally and internationally through collaboration
with other institutions.

We would especially welcome applications from candidates with expertise
in one or more of the following areas:

Consumer Culture Theory
International Marketing
Marketing Management
Digital Marketing
Candidates with other areas of expertise are also encouraged to apply.

Applicants at Lecturer level should have a PhD in Marketing or another
specialism related to the area of the post (or be close to completing
one), evidence of research output, either published or publishable, of
peer-reviewed international quality and experience of teaching in the
area of marketing, or demonstrable potential for achieving this.

Applicants at SL level should have a PhD in Marketing or specialism
related to the area of the post, experience of teaching in the area of
Marketing and a strong record of high quality research publications. A
proven track record of raising research funds is also essential. In
addition, you should have excellent organisational, communication and
interpersonal skills and a capability for dissemination of research to
different audiences.

Salary:

Lecturer: £38,511-£45,954 per annum
Senior Lecturer: £48,743-£54,841 per annum
