The Faculty of Media and Communication at Bournemouth University is one of the largest of its kind in the world and has a global reputation for combining research and teaching practice.

The Corporate & Marketing Communications department is a thriving space where we combine excellent learning & teaching, close engagement and enterprise with relevant professionals and international research outputs in a range of areas related under the umbrella of promotional communications. We offer programmes in Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing Communications, Marketing and Politics and research across all of these areas.

Post 1: Senior Lecturer in Marketing Communications

Starting salary from £38,511 - £45,954 per annum with further progression opportunities to £50,200

As Senior Lecturer in Marketing Communications, you will be able to demonstrate expertise in understanding and application of creative and digital thinking and processes in the context of marketing communications (Public Relations, Advertising, or other forms of marketing communication). Enthusiastic about student-centred pedagogy, you will contribute to education delivery, including programme management as required, across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will also make a significant contribution to employability, and professional engagement with relevant internal and external organisations, at a regional, national and international level.

You will be qualified to Doctorate level or be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level and the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from the date of appointment. You will be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.

Post 2: Lecturer in Marketing Communications (Fixed-term)

Starting salary from £32,277 - £37,394 per annum with further progression opportunities to £40,847

As Lecturer in Marketing Communications, you will be able to demonstrate expertise in understanding and application of marketing communications (Public Relations, Advertising, or other forms of marketing communication). Enthusiastic about student-centred pedagogy, you will contribute to education delivery, including programme management as required, across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will also make a significant contribution to employability, and professional engagement with relevant internal and external organisations, at a regional, national and international level.

You will be qualified to Doctorate level or be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level and the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from the date of appointment. You will be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.

This post is available for up to 6 months to provide cover for the maternity leave of a substantive member of staff.
