[ecrea] Call for Abstracts: 2015 Conference of the Italian Association ,of Political Communication

The Italian Association of Political Communication (AssoComPol) will
held its annual Conference at the University of Salerno, 10-12 December
2015.This year’s theme is "Communication as Democratic Resource".

International team of scholars.
The papers can be both of qualitative and quantitative nature and focus
on general theoretical issues or be in-depth analyses of specific
questions.
The main areas – and subjects – of discussion are the following:
1./The media/.The technological innovations in the media and new media
domains; the fragmentation of sources of information; the issue of
democratic access to communication channels.
2./The citizens/.The factors that have affected their exposition,
consumption, production of information;the implications of new ‘media
diets’ on political outlook and behavior.
3./The political players/:government, parties, candidates.The change in
the monitoring patterns of citizens/voters preferences; the new trends
in election campaigning and in consensus building.
4./The democratic institutions/. E-government; E-democracy; Experiences
of communication impact in practices of deliberative democracy.

Salerno is on the beautiful Amalfi Coast
