The University of Leipzig, Germany, Institute of Communication and Media Studies, is seeking for applicants to fill the following position starting on October 1, 2015:

W2-Professor in Communication Management

The professorship will focus on managing, implementing and evaluating organisational communication as well as prerequites and consequences on the level of politics and society. Research activities should stimulate cooperations with disciplines like political science and other social sciences by exploring fields like e. g. political communication and public discourse, campaigns and communication strategies, communication of NGOs and associations, or legitimacy and sustainability communications. The professor (male/female) will teach courses in the master program „Communication Management“ and other programs and supervise doctoral students. International publications as well as a record of running projects together with professional partners and third-party funding are required.

Duties and rights of this tenured professorship (public salary level W2) are based on Saxonian state law (SächsHSFG, DAVOHS). Applicants have to be qualified according to § 58 SächsHSFG (doctorate and additionally either habilitation or academic qualifications proven by a publication portfolio equal to a habilitation).
