The "Historical Journal of Film, Radio and Television" is looking for book
reviewers to contribute to future issues and has brand new copies of the
following titles:
1. Film, Stardom, Myth and Classicism: The Rise of Hollywood's Gods
(Michael Williams)
2. Cult Film Stardom (edited by Kate Egan and Sarah Thomas)
3. The Concise Routledge Encyclopaedia of Documentary Film (edited by Ian
Aitken)
4. To Dazzle the Eye and Stir the Heart - "The Red Lantern", Nazimova and
the Boxer Rebellion (Cinematek; book with DVD)
5. Equivocal Subjects between Italy and Africa: constructions of racial and
national identity in the Italian Cinema (Shelleen Greene)
6. Disney's Most Notorious Film: Race, Convergence and the hidden Histories
of Song of the South (Jason Sperb)
7. Alfred Hitchcock's America (Murray Pomerance)
8. A Companion to the Historical Film (edited by Robert Rosenstone and
Constantin Parvulescu)
9. Intermediality and Media Change (edited by Herkman Juha, Hujanen Taisto
and Oinonen Paavo)
Reviews are typically in the 500-1.000 word range. The projected deadline is
2 September 2013. Individuals interested in a particular title should
