[ecrea] Call for Papers -: 8th Annual Doctoral Students’ Day Information Science and Communication Studies
Fri Feb 08 19:04:11 GMT 2013
8th Annual Doctoral Students’ Day
Information Science and Communication Studies
GERiiCO Laboratory
Thursday, May 16th 2013
University of Lille 3, Villeneuve d’Ascq France
A PhD thesis is an important introduction to scientific research, full
of discoveries: discovering a discipline, a research laboratory, a
research team... In addition, PhD students in Information Science and
Communication Studies work on a wide variety of objects: documents and
information behavior, knowledge management, media studies, cultural
mediation or corporate communication.
This diversity of approaches, research subjects, and research fields is
part of the wealth of this discipline. But this variety can create
distance between students working in different research teams or fields,
who have only rare opportunities to exchange about their work.
The 8th Annual Doctoral Students’ Day is organized by PhD students
studying at the University of Lille 3 (GERiiCO Laboratory), who wish to
communicate and exchange about their research themes, theoretical and
epistemological issues, and methodological reflections, with students
from other universities. We wish to encourage students, lecturers, and
professors to meet and exchange ideas.
