CALL FOR PAPERS

November 16-17, 2012

Economic, political and communicational power of the social media

The Internet and social media become virtual places where millions of
people share information, engage in social participation, communicate
about products and services.

The aime of the confernece is to understand how new technologies
afford the construction of social networks and participation in civic
engagement in societies around the world and what are the social,
economical, political consequences of social media. Different
theoretical  and empirical  scientific approaches are welcome.
Contributors are encouraged to examine the implications of the social
media for social networks, civic engagement, economic growth and etc.

Papers presented at the conference (after peer review) will be
published in science journal Medianali.

Official conference language is English.

Timeline:

Deadline for submission of abstracts (200 words) and registration:
October 15, 2012

No registration fee for participants whose papers are accepted - all
others pay 60 euros

Full Papers due by December 1, 2012 (4,000-6,000 words, including 200
word abstracts and six keywords; referencing - Harvard system)
