Vacancy. One Doctoral Position in Media and Communication Studies at
Örebro University, Sweden. Profile: Global Journalism
http://www.oru.se/English/About-the-University/Vacancies/
We are seeking a doctoral student to join our research study programme
in Media and Communication Studies, who could start as soon as possible.
The doctoral project will strengthen and develop our research in global
journalism. Global journalism is an emergent type of news information
which interconnects local and global outlooks on society and various
events. The doctoral project will improve the theoretical and empirical
understanding of news and journalism in relation to global issues, and
in connection to the digital development. Moreover, the aim of the
project should be to suggest new models for journalism in a global age,
to be applied in journalism training (including the two journalism
programmes at Örebro University) as well as in journalistic practice.
The doctoral project will be linked to the two research groups "Global
media, risks and crises" and "Media and journalism in transition" at
Örebro University.
For more information and further details, please contact associate
professor Peter Berglez, tel. no +46-19-303461, (peter.berglez /at/ oru.se).
