XI. Conference Culture and Computer Science - Visual World & Interactive
Spaces

The 11th edition of the "Culture and Computer Science" (<Ger.> Kultur
und Informatik [KUI]) conference series brings into focus best practice
examples, challenges, and future trends in the fields of visualisation
and interaction. The conference targets cultural politicians, employees
of cultural and creative industries, communication scientists, cultural
and artistic actors as well as computer scientists and engineers, who
conduct research and development on cultural topics.
The presentations will discuss the following key topics:
. General conditions of cultural politics
. Interdependence between culture and computer science
. Influence of art and culture on future developments
. The media-compatible treatment and enhancement of information
. Intuitive usage of media systems
These items shall primarily be analysed, demonstrated and discussed
through best-practice examples for cultural and creative industries.

. Interactive multimedia solutions for museums, theatres,
concert halls, exhibitions etc.

Call for Abstracts
Proposals for oral presentations, posters, or demonstrations can be
submitted in German or English language before January 31, 2013.
Abstracts (1-3 DIN A4 pages) must contain title, author(s), the scope of
the paper, emphasize on new advances, theories and/or applications and
include an analysis of results and findings. It must be structured such
that the programme committee will be able to understand the originality
and the value of the work.
A submission implies willingness to register and present the work if the
paper is accepted for presentation at the conference.

Abstracts must be turned in online as PDF via the conference management
system of INKA research group. First time users are requested to
register beforehand.

Accepted Papers
All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings. The
publisher is currently being chosen and will be announced in January
2013 at the conference website. A TeX template for final paper
submission will be provided
in January 2013.
