skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to
performance.

This full time post is available from 1 September 2012, and will be
offered on a permanent contract.The successful candidate will be expected
to carry out a range of teaching and administrative duties, including
teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the
department of Culture, Film and Media. The successful candidate is
expected to be research active with a demonstrable record of peer-reviewed
research outputs. Consideration will be given to candidates in any area of
media/journalism studies. Applications from individuals with teaching
and/or research experience in print or broadcast journalism, regulation
and policy, comparative international media, contemporary media in an
international context, or web and network culture, would be especially
welcome.
Candidates should hold or be shortly due to submit a PhD, or equivalent in
media studies or a related field.

candidate will be expected to carry out a range of teaching and

postgraduate programmes within the department of Culture, Film and Media.
The successful candidate is expected to be research active with a
demonstrated record of peer-reviewed research outputs. Particular interest
will be given to candidates whose research and teaching relates to the
study of contemporary media culture, web and network cultures, cultural
studies, media/journalism studies.
Candidates should hold or are shortly due to submit a PhD, or equivalent
in media studies or a related field.
