**The International Symposium on Media Innovations **19-20 April 2012

Scholars, editors, producers, and executives from around the world will 
gather in Oslo to discuss innovation in the media industry. The 
Symposium is a small, but very intense conference that examines the 
state of media innovations.

Keynote Speaker: Professor Lucy Küng, Jönköping International Business 
School.

The Media Innovations symposium explores how changing technologies, and 
changing modes of usage and engagement with media bring about innovation 
and transformation of the media sector:

We invite submissions for papers on the following themes and any other 
related topics:

* New media services.

* New players in the media landscape.

* New roles of users.

* New practices by existing media organizations.

Please email your 750-word extended abstract by *1 November 2011

Abstract acceptance will be announced in December 2011. Full paper 
deadline 1 March, 2012 <x-apple-data-detectors://3>. Best paper award 
will be announced during the conference. Selected papers from the 
symposium will be published in an anthology.
