Senior Lecturer in Journalism

Buckinghamshire New University


(Fixed term post for two years)
£34,752 - £44,022 per annum

We have a vacancy for a full-time Senior Lecturer in Journalism, on a two year fixed term contract. This role is to contribute to teaching and to coordinate and oversee modules taught by Associate Lecturers on levels five and six on our BA (Hons) Journalism programme.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of practical/production-based modules, supervising Associate Lecturers in module delivery, undertaking practical dissertation project supervision, along with other aspects of student support and course administration. You must also ensure quality academic standards and processes are met throughout the programme.

Candidates will already hold a first degree in a related discipline and either a postgraduate degree or equivalent industry or professional experience. Previous teaching experience at HE level is essential, and previous experience as a course leader or programme/year coordinator would be an advantage.
