Call for papers
PHD Days 2011 Information and communication 
sciences Of the French speaking community of Belgium
23 - 24 May 2011

As part of the 2011 PhD days in information and 
communication sciences, PhD students are invited 
to submit a paper based on one of the following aspects of their research:
?       Epistemological questions related to 
research in information and communication
?       Theoretical questions and/ or case studies
o       In organisational communication
o       In journalism and media analysis
o       In drama arts (performing and/or recorded)
o       In information and communication technologies and ICT analysis
o       In socio-educative media approaches
o       ?
Proposals of communication, as communications in 
themselves, must specify the central research 
topic and state a clearly identified issue, even 
when related to a case study. Priority will be 
given to speakers demonstrating theoretical 
reflection and epistemological and critical 
reflection in the abstract. The abstracts of PhD 
researches or summaries of articles or books will 
not be taken into consideration.
All fields of information and communication 
sciences are welcome (organisational 
communication, drama arts, socio-economic and 
media analysis, journalism, socio-educative 
communication, sciences and technologies of 
information and communication, etc.), as well as 
communication proposals intersecting or relating to other fields of research.
Abstracts are due no later than Monday 21 February, 2011.

under the section « Journées doctorales »: http://www.edsic.be.
