Current Issues in European Cultural Studies 2011
Reminder: Call for papers
June 15-17 2011 Advanced Cultural Studies
Institute of Sweden (ACSIS) will arrange its
fourth biannual conference on cultural research
in Norrköping, Sweden. The conference aims to
provide an updated inventory of main issues in
European cultural studies and give a perspective
on Europe today through the spectrum of cultural studies.
The conference includes a broad range of
parallel sessions exploring various aspects of
contemporary cultural studies with a wider
geographical focus than Europe. Sessions
thematically range from cosmopolitanism to
nationalism, touching on issues such as place
making, recycling and remembering.
Participants are invited to submit abstracts of
individual papers for any of the parallel
sessions listed on the conference web page, or
for an open session without a given theme. Paper
abstracts are welcome until February 14, 2011.
Abstracts should be no more than 200 words, and
are submitted via the conference home page.
More information on the conference, full
program, page for abstract submission and a list
of all parallel sessions can be found on the
conference home page:
