conference Crossing Boundaries ? News,
Technologies and Audiences, UC Berkeley, March 17-18.
Main Speakers:
DAY 1 ? CONTRIBUTIONS FROM RESEARCH
There are two/three plenary speakers scheduled for the first day :
Thomas Tufte, Roskilde University, Denmark: "A
Quiet Media Revolution? ? Mediatization, altered
Media Geographies and Insurgent Citizen Tactics"
Jane B. Singer. University of Southern Iowa, "Networked News Work"
and possibly
David M. Ryfe, "University of Nevada", "Journalism Facing the Audience"
DAY 2 ? PLATFORMS, SOURCES AND GOVERNMENTS
Nicholas Carr, author and journalist. His latest
book is The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing
