The Faculty of Humanities of the University of Tübingen, Germany,
invites applications for the tenured position of
Professor ("W 3") for Media Studies
(Media change and media innovation)
Starting date: October 1, 2011.
The holder of this position will be a member of 
the Institute of Media Studies in the Faculty of Humanities.
Candidates will be expected to teach and research 
widely in the field of media studies with an emphasis on
media change and media innovation.
Their research and teaching should be based on a 
broad concept of media studies that is centered in the
humanities and possibly also in the social 
sciences. It should also combine a research orientation with
experience in professional media work. The 
candidate is also expected to work in interdisciplinary contexts in
the university.
Required qualifications: Postdoctoral lecturing 
qualification ("Habilitation") or comparable qualification (PhD
and major publications), teaching skills. 
Teaching experience in media studies BA and MA programmes is
welcome.
The University of Tübingen works to increase the
