Details about UWS:


UWS is an inspiring, vibrant place to study with a growing research community; an important aspect of which is its outstanding and committed research students.

In 2010, over 80 PhD studentships are being offered.
Successful candidates will receive a £6000 stipend and payment of tuition fees (current value £3400). This studentship is open to Home/EU candidates with a first degree in a relevant discipline. Non-EU students can apply, but will not receive the stipend and will be required to pay fees.
Candidates must be available to commence their studies in October 2010.

Suitable applicants will be encouraged to apply for an AHRC studentship, which carries a stipend of £13,600. The deadline for AHRC studentships, which must be submitted through the University. If you wish to be considered for an AHRC studentship, initial applications must be received by 9th April 2010 at the latest.
