World Summit on the Information Society Preparatory Meeting Started in
Geneva

July 2, 2002 - The first Preparatory Committee Meeting (PrepCom 1) of the
World Summit on the Information Society opened at the Geneva International
Conference Centre (CICG) yesterday. More than 600 delegates representing
governments, international agencies, business and civil society are
attending the meeting, which will run until 5 July 2002.
