*Three PhD Scholarships at DCU School of Communications (Start: 
September 2026)*

The School of Communications at *Dublin City University (DCU)* invites 
applications for *three funded PhD scholarships* (full-time, four-year 
duration), starting in *September 2026*.

Each scholarship includes a *tax-free stipend of €25,000 per annum plus 
a full fee waiver*, along with support for conference travel and 
opportunities for paid tutoring/teaching experience as part of doctoral 
career development.

*Funding amount:*€25,000 per annum plus fee waiver
*Duration:* 4 years (full-time)
*Deadline:* 13 March 2026
*Start date:* September 2026

For the 2026 call, applications are invited in the following thematic areas:

  * *Deepfake, Nudification, and other Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery
    (NCII) Technologies*
  * *Documentary Subjects: Consent, Rights and GDPR*
  * *Generative AI & Memory Studies*

Applicants are invited to submit:

  * A *2,000-word research proposal*
  * A brief *CV* detailing academic qualifications and relevant experience
  * A *personal statement*
