**About the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies**

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies (CIM) is a world-class interdisciplinary research centre. Our mission is to investigate how methods and methodical practices drive interdisciplinary research, and how interdisciplinary research drives methodological innovation. In both research and education, we proactively engage with pressing contemporary concerns with new methodological thinking. We understand impact as being about making interventions, whether in policy, public understanding or bringing about change.

Our research and teaching bridges the three faculties at the University of Warwick – Arts, Social Sciences and Science, Engineering and Medicine – and develops the transformative potential to be found at the intersections of disciplines across the whole of the University.

**About the role**

We are seeking to appoint a Professor who will provide academic leadership as we begin a new phase of growth informed by our research and education strategy. You will have a vision of the future of interdisciplinary research and education that cuts across faculties and have the capability and motivation to inspire others to deliver this vision. You will connect to and extend CIM’s strengths in interdisciplinary research, and bring in new ways of knowing that open up new possibilities.

**About you**

You will:

•              have an outstanding record of research excellence in, across or adjacent to, fields already established in CIM: digital media and culture, technology and society, ecology, environment and society, AI, computational and spatial methods, visualisation, complexity, and digital health and society;

•              have an established track record of internationally recognized interdisciplinary research and experience in the design and delivery of interdisciplinary teaching and be able to demonstrate success in leading interdisciplinary research and education;

•              be able to demonstrate a track record in raising significant research funding and using research to deliver impact;

•              be able to develop interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships, and connect and work with others outside your areas of expertise;

•              be enthusiastic about developing our teaching programmes to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century, and have the capability to teach students from a wide variety of backgrounds.
