Call for Applications for the research project "Cultural Heritage in the
Occupied Territories as a Means to Peace".
1 year post-doctoral position at De Montfort University.
Deadline: 28 February.
We are recruiting a post-doctoral research Fellow, to develop the
project “Cultural Heritage in The Occupied Territories as a Means to
Peace”, exploring the impact of Palestinian heritage as a means to peace
through tourism and constructive media approaches promoting Palestinian
heritage. The Fellow will be supervised by Dr Giuliana Tiripelli (De
Montfort University) and Dr Rami Isaac (Breda University of Applied
Sciences).
The Fellowship is part of the International Heritage Protection and
Sustainable Development Research Fellowship Scheme funded by the British
Council and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS).
This Fellowship is also part of the British Council’s What Works
approach in International Cultural Heritage Protection, which aims to
support better outcomes for cultural heritage protection and local
communities by bringing the best available evidence and learning to
practitioners and other decision makers across the international sector.
This post is a 12 month fixed term contract. The Fellow needs to be a
citizen of an ODA eligible country, and is expected to work in the UK
throughout the tenure of the fellowship.
Women and other underrepresented backgrounds are welcomed to apply,
including those with maternity and caring responsibility. The contract
can cover some costs related to family members of the Fellow.
