[Commlist] Vacancy: Lecturer in 3D Animation @ UCL

The Department of Culture, Communication and Media (CCM) at IOE, UCL’s 
Faculty of Education and Society is seeking an appointment to the post 
of Lecturer in 3D Animation. The post holder will join the BA Media 
course, a flagship programme for UCL’s new campus at the Queen Elizabeth 
Olympic Park. UCL East will incorporate 12 academic entities with a 
range of new research and teaching programmes.

Opening in 2022 and 2023, UCL East will unite academic activities across 
experiments, arts, society and technology, integrating research and 
education, theory and practice – with cross-disciplinarity, innovation 
and public engagement. This post sits in the School for the Creative and 
Cultural Industries, and will initially be based at UCL’s Bloomsbury 
campus until the move to UCL East in 2023. The postholder will play an 
important role delivery of the BA Media and contribute an important 
specialism to the range of expertise required by the programme. In 
addition to teaching at undergraduate level, the postholder will 
contribute to Masters and PhD programmes in media, and to research, 
knowledge exchange and consultancy activities in ReMAP, the Knowledge 
Lab, and eventually the SCCI at UCL East. The postholder is also 
expected to play an important role in the development of the new UCL 
Media Network, generating collaborative approaches to teaching, research 
and intellectual endeavor across the three faculties.
