Interesting and influential scholarship challenges our preconceptions in
some way. However, we rarely get insights into how scholars generate and
develop theoretical and methodological innovation. This pre-conference
aims to offer insights into how innovation and problematization in the
field of political communication can be done, and is meant to provide a
platform for extensive exchange between early-career scholars as well
and talks with mentors from the field.
The pre-conference will feature two keynote lectures by Ulrike
Klinger (European University Viadrina Frankfurt-Oder) and Christian
Baden (The Hebrew University of Jerusalem).
Date: 11–12 October 2022
Place: Online
Abstract requirements: 500 words
Submission deadline: 15 May 2022
Send abstracts to: (emilija.gagrcin /at/ fu-berlin.de)
<mailto:(emilija.gagrcin /at/ fu-berlin.de)>
Acceptance letters will be sent in mid-June.
If accepted, participants will need to submit a manuscript of up to 8000
words by 16 September 2022, 23:59 CET. The manuscripts will serve as a
