Here in the Digital Media Research Centre at Queensland University of Technology we're currently advertising some excellent opportunities for prospective PhD students and postdocs, and I'm hoping that you might be able to help me share these with promising candidates. I'd very much appreciate it if you could pass on this email to any likely candidates. (Alternatively, perhaps you could retweet the relevant posts from the @socialmediaQUT account through your own networks - links to the tweets are below...)

We are looking for promising PhD candidates to undertake projects that align with the DMRC's overarching mission to conduct world-leading research for a creative, inclusive and fair digital media environment. Applicants with excellent academic track records or equivalent professional research experience may be eligible for competitive PhD scholarships in QUT's Annual Scholarship Round to undertake study with us.

Second, we're also calling for expressions of interest from outstanding early career researchers (up to 5 years post-PhD) who are considering applying for an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA). We will offer assistance to applicants whose work is aligned with our goal to undertake world-leading research for a creative, inclusive and fair digital media environment. Our structured, expert assistance covers all aspects of the DECRA application, including alignment of track record and project, concept, disciplinary contribution, method, impact and benefit, and budget. Applicants to the DECRA scheme may be from Australia or overseas.

DECRAs are three-year postdoctoral research projects that are fully funded by the Australian federal government, with further support from QUT. They offer an excellent opportunity for excellent emerging scholars to join our team.
