We are seeking an outstanding Lecturer for our growing Media subject
group, based in the School of Humanities at the University of
Hertfordshire. Our School has thriving degree programmes in Media
Cultures at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with a strong emphasis
on student experience and employability.
The School is looking to make 0.5FTE appointment in Media Cultures.
Candidates should have experience delivering teaching at undergraduate
level, particularly in the areas of Media Theory, Corporate
Communication and Advertising. Duties will include the development and
delivery of lectures and seminars, holding office hours and
administrative duties. The successful candidate should also be willing
to contribute to our developing research community.
You will be expected to play a full and active role in the teaching,
administrative, research and public engagement activities of the School.
The precise duties will be agreed in discussion with the Head of Subject.
_Essential Criteria including:-_
* Teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
* Administrative experience
_Desirable Criteria including;-_
* Demonstrable experience in the media industries, particularly PR and
Advertising
* Good contacts in the media industries
* Experience supervising BA and/or MA students
* A publication portfolio and/or successful research grant funding
_Essential Qualifications including:- _
* PhD in relevant field
