The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries offers an excellent
range of accredited programmes across a range of undergraduate and
postgraduate disciplines, in Architecture, Design, Creative
Technologies, Media and Performing Arts

The Faculty has a growing research (and innovation) portfolio
incorporating work that addresses the University’s five
cross-disciplinary themes as detailed in our new Research and Innovation
Strategy 2015-20

Building on recent research successes and supporting student experience,
the Faculty has gained substantial strategic investments from the
University to seek exceptional academics to join the Faculty before the
start of the next academic year.

Working closely with Professor Catherine Harper, Dean of Creative and
Cultural Industries, and complementing the commercial and innovation
work already initiated by Professor Joan Farrer, Associate Dean
(Enterprise and Innovation), the appointee will drive the Faculty’s
research agenda, shaping, implementing and monitoring the performance of
our research strategy, developing our REF submission, and leading on
impact and research income generation to deliver published targets.

You will have an international profile at professorial level in one of
the Faculty’s academic disciplines.  You will have a strong research and
grant success record, and demonstrate excellent leadership skills,
promoting a sense of collegiality and encouraging productivity to ensure
that the Faculty delivers its agreed plans.  Successful candidates are
expected to remain research active whilst holding the role.
