The Department of History, Philosophy and Religion, *Oxford Brookes 
University* is looking for strong candidates to apply for one 
three-year, full-time Ph.D. studentship. The successful candidate will 
receive an annual stipend of £14,000 for three years beginning in 
September 2015/16.
One of the research areas for which interested candidates are invited to 
apply is *Communication, Media & Culture*

Our programme team offers a range of areas of expertise, including:
   * queer theory
   * gender, youth and media
   * political economies of consumption
   * corpus linguistics and big data
   * cultural studies of software
   * digital game studies
   * animal studies
   * environmental communication
Applicants would normally be expected either to have completed, or to be 
in the process of completing, an MA degree, or non-UK equivalent.
