[ecrea] Associate Professor Position at the Department of Communication Universidad Javeriana. Bogota, Colombia

The Department of Communication at the Communication and Language 
Faculty of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia (South 
America) seeks to fill a faculty full-time position with the rank of 
Assistant or Associate Professor. The candidate selected should join the 
University from January 2014.
1. Objective
Select one (1) full-time professor for the Department of Communication. 
The selection process will be carried out by strictly following the 
guidelines detailed in the Department Procedures Manual. If no candidate 
matches the requirements, the selection process could end up with no 
professor being hired.
2. Basic Requisites
· Undergraduate degree in Communication, Media or Journalism.
· PhD degree in Communication, Social Sciences or related disciplines.
· Full command of Spanish (Certification required in case it is not the 
candidate´s mother language).
· Certified pedagogical experience at University level.
· Research experience in topics related to Communication, Media or 
Journalism.
· Publications in peer-reviewed Journals or chapters or complete books 
published by recognized publishing houses.
· Certified professional experience in the fields of Communication, 
Media or Journalism.
· Certified knowledge of a second language if the candidate´s mother 
tongue is Spanish.
